Social Enterprises: On the Corner of Multiple Intersections

The nonprofit sector interested me very early on in my academic career, so much so I chose to make Nonprofit Leadership my minor. However, when I studied abroad I was introduced to a new concept, social entrepreneurship. During the course, I took abroad we focus less on social entrepreneurship’s relation to the nonprofit sector and rather took up to go on the challenge of creating our own hypothetical social enterprise. With this new information, I decided to make the connection between social enterprises and nonprofit organizations in my senior level non-prophet leadership course. I decided I wanted to further investigate the relationship between social enterprises in nonprofit organization's and consider where whether one was more viable or fulfilling than the other. I conducted my research by synthesizing a series of studies on the definition of social entrepreneurship it's relation to business and its relation to NPOs.
